Edward James Corbett, the British Indian hunter, tracker, conservationist and author was born on 25th July 1875 in Nainital, India. He gained fame for hunting several man-eating tigers and leopards in the early 20th century. Apart from hunting the dangerous man-eating animals, he was deeply concerned about the conservation of wildlife and their habitat and became a vocal advocate for the protection of endangered species.
