Devidhura-Pati-Dhunaghat Trail

Jim Corbett visited Devidhura twice, once on his way to Champawat and again in pursuit of Temple tiger without success. He stayed at Dhunaghat FRH on his way to Champawat in pursuit of the Champawat tigress. His adventure of spending the night tracking the man eater makes the village of Pati popular among the fans of Corbett.

Jim Corbett wrote “No one who has visited Devidhura is ever likely to forget the view that is to be obtained from the Rest house built near the summit of God’s Mountain by one which quite evidently was a lover of scenery.” His books paint the picture of the forest and the wildlife. Most notably the fight between a tiger and a black bear can bring chills to anyone.
